Servitization of manufacturing in Japan

In Japan, the shift toward servitization has been anticipated in manufacturing industry. The empirical study on the current situation of servitization in Japanese manufacturing is conducted through the activities of the industrial consortium.

International collaboration for developing and diffusing care technologies

Japan has the largest population of aged people and promotes the development of advanced care technologies such as care robotics. However, the development of care technology markets is still slow both within and outside Japan. Research networking is being conducted for cross-cultural analysis and knowledge sharing on care technology development and integration.

International standardization on ergonomics and sharing economy

Recently, human well-being and symbiotic relationship are more emphasized while traditional organizational management and social systems pursuing operational excellence are questioned. I’m actively working on international standardization in the fields of application of human-centeredness (e.g. organizational design) and sharing economy for the more sustainable society.
